PRHHA Mission Statement:
The PRHHA is a member organization dedicated to providing information, education, leadership and advocacy for its membership and the community to promote successful and healthy re-integration and community safety.
Mandate:
- PRHHA members work to promote the interests of all Halfway Houses through the free exchange of ideas, knowledge and skills.
- The PRHHA, as a central organization advocating for community justice in the Prairie Region, works with other organizations in a manner that promotes understanding and advancement of our shared vision and values.
- PRHHA members operate inclusive, supportive and culturally sensitive residences and programs.
- The PRHHA and its members support the use of the CSC/Voluntary Sector Relationship Principles.
- The PRHHA and its members advocate for funding practices that assure the vitality and stability of halfway houses and safe staffing.
- PRHHA members work together with communities to promote client integration and public safety.
- The PRHHA and its members promote community releases and the effective use of community resources such that all clients are placed in a least restrictive environment, which promotes personal growth and safe integration at the earliest opportunity.
- The PRHHA and its members work for the good of all programs and residential services promoting better practices in community corrections.
- PRHHA members believe that voluntary not for profit organizations are the best method of community integration and program delivery.
